BoKaap House — Live Cape Town
Sunlit pedestrian alleyway in Bo-Kaap, Cape Town with vibrant pink walls leading toward an arched stone doorway

Premium Coliving in Cape Town

Your home in the heart of Cape Town

Private en-suite rooms for stays of 30 nights or longer, set in historic Bo-Kaap and moments from Bree Street, Kloof Street and the city centre. Enjoy the privacy of your own room, the convenience of hotel-style services and the warmth of a relaxed shared home.

The Idea

We don’t sell rooms.
We sell belonging.

Most accommodation is a transaction — a bed, a key, a checkout. BoKaap House is something else: a community of curious people who chose to live in Cape Town properly, together. The room is just where you rest your head. What matters is who’s at the kitchen table, which sunset you share, and how quickly a strange city starts to feel like yours.

We believe the best way to know a place is to belong to it — to learn the name of your street’s cat, your order at the corner café, the quiet route up Signal Hill. That takes time. So we’re built for people who stay.

01

Belonging

A house, not a hotel. A neighbourhood that learns your name — and a front door you’re glad to come back to.

02

Connection

Meaningful encounters over monthly family dinners, shared sunsets on the deck, and unhurried morning coffee.

03

Local Life

The real Cape Town — its streets, flavours and rhythm — on your doorstep, not behind a concierge desk.

“Had such a fantastic time at BoKaap House, the design of the house is very well curated and the staff is so kind and available. The house has a very quiet and respectful environment, but can as well offer entertaining activities to get to know other house members. It really feels like a home away from home. I'd surely recommend to all of my friends.”

“I stayed at Bokaap House for 3 months and it was absolutely perfect. The whole team are incredibly attentive and responsive to every need. The house itself is spotlessly clean and beautifully located in the heart of Bo-Kaap, with easy access to everything Cape Town has to offer. What really sets this place apart is how selective they are about who they welcome into the house — it creates a wonderful atmosphere among guests, everyone is on the same wavelength and you genuinely connect with the people staying there. It feels less like a guesthouse and more like a home with a great community. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a longer stay in Cape Town.”
